Inaugural Play It SAFE Golf Tournament at
Lake Toxaway Country Club

On May 5th SAFE, Inc. will kick off their first Play It SAFE Golf Tournament at Lake Toxaway Country Club. The tournament will begin with registration and a Sponsor Expo at 7:30 am and then a shotgun start at 9 am. After a great round of golf, players and sponsors will be treated to a luncheon with recognition for both players and sponsors. Prizes will be provided for the best Men's, Women's and Mixed teams.

The proceeds for the tournament will support SAFE's work to end domestic and sexual violence and education programs in the schools promoting healthy relationships and SAFE Dating Practices. Our strategic plan includes increasing services in the county and we need support to make that happen! This new tournament, hosted by one of the country's most beautiful Golf Courses, provides an opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy a spectacular day of golf and support one Transylvania County's most important services.

Want to help? We still have room for teams or individual players. Do you know someone who loves golf? Share this opportunity with them. The entry fee is $200 for both golf and all the events of the day. If you have a foursome, you can register your group together. Need to be added to a team? We can handle that too! Call the SAFE office (828-885-7233) or email claremarie@safetransylvania.org for a Player Registration Form to sign up.

We are also looking for sponsors. This is great opportunity to reach the community while supporting SAFE's work. Sponsorship opportunities start at $50 for an ad in the program and include $100, $500, $1,000 and $5,000 levels for hole and event sponsorships. Each level has it's own package of recognition and involvement. Call Clare-Marie Hannon at SAFE for more information.

And we need lots of volunteers to help with the planning and on the day of the event. Imagine spending a spring day at this beautiful venue! Want to be part of the action? We can hook you up. Come celebrate the difference we make in this community when we Play It SAFE!
